New house!

Today was my lazy day....I usually get up and load the dishwasher and clean up, but today I told my Hubby that the maid was off today...LOL!!!! Ty and I just hung out today, I went and turned in an application at a daycare like 5 min from the house....yes you heard that right I am looking for a job **sigh**. I'd rather continue being a Stay At Home Mom, but if I want some spending money as we all know I LOVE shopping then I've got to go back to work. Plus after buying a brand new home we could use the extra cash. We found an in home daycare for Tyler to go to, it's really nice and the lady is sweet. I just don't want Ty in a big daycare with LOTS of kids and all those germs right now. He has been doing great so far and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as possible. I have a really really strong feeling that his CF is a mild case and I Hope/Pray that I am right! :)

Well Kelly is going to be gone this weekend, him, my Dad and his Dad are going to the race in Charlotte(sp?) so my Mom is coming to spend the weekend w/us! We're having a sleepover..yay! LOL :) So we'll probally just hang out and go shopping or something...LOL :) I def. gotta clean up tomorrow before my Mom comes over!!!!

Well I'm exhausted from doing so much today..HAHA! gnight!

Long time no see!

Oh man where do I even begin!? It's been awhile since I have posted anything! Well let's see...

Our new House- We are FINALLY settled in our brand new house and we are LOVING it! It's exactly what I wanted and couldn't have asked for anything better. Kelly said it was my Mother's Day present and that was fine by me! The day that we started to move in was the day of the Great Strides walk here in our town, it was the first time they have done it here and they had a great turnout! I met another mother who has a 11 or 12yr old girl who was diagnosed w/CF at the age of 3 and she was doing great! It's soo nice to talk to other mother's who know what eachother are going through. Which reminds me, since we just got our internet back up and running I need to email that mother...she probablly thinks I didn't want to talk to her! Okay....sorry was thinking out loud..LOL! Let's see...

Tyler- Ty's doing great! He's about 17lbs now and still LOVES to eat! We got rid of that nasty bacteria (PA)...that was the best thing ever...his culture coming back clear! He also had a Infant Lunf Function test done and he did awesome! His numbers were high and they said that his lung function was NORMAL..ohh man that was the best thing I have ever heard!
Ty and I went and spent the day at the beach this past Sunday w/my Mom, Sister and Niece Lilly. Ty had the best time, he played in the sand and LOVED the water! I was so surprised that he didn't cry, but he crawled right to the water and splashed in it...he was so cute! He just loves the water...I bought him a baby pool and he enjoys that.
Ty's moving all over the place now, crawling, pulling up and getting into EVERYTHING! Guess it's time to Tyler proff the house! LOL :) He is also teething, his top teeth are trying to come through and oh my goodness has he been a cranky monkey! He hasn't been sleeping well at night, he'll sleep half the night in his crib and the other half in the bed w/us...I know..bad habit, but I'm SOOOO tired at night that I just give in and let him sleep w/us, plus I love cuddling w/my baby. :) He got his first boo-boo yesterday, he was playing w/a box that was in our bedroom and when he pulled up on it he fell back and the box went on top of him(it wasn't a heavy box and it didn't have anything in it. Well when I went to pick him up he had blood EVERYWHERE coming out of his mouth..I freaked and got him all cleaned up and he was fine. Man he scared me....I know it wont be his last boo-boo..but geez! Oh yeah Tyler's new tricks are dancing and waving..he LOVES to dance, it's the cutest thing ever!

Well I know there is more to write about , but it's getting late and Ty just woke up so I need to go see if he's okay and get him back to sleep. Sorry it took so long and I will def. get some pics up soon!

On the move!

My LiL'Man is growing up!! In two weeks Ty has crawled, sat up from a laying position and today I went to get him from his crib after a nap and he was standing up! Seems like just yesterday that he was born! And now I can't keep up w/him..he's all over the place getting into things that are NOT his toys, I mean you really shouldn't buy kids toys, b/c they would rather play w/pots and pans, boxes, bags, rugs, shoes....anything that's not a toy!!

Ty has been doing great, we're still on antibiotics and he doesn't like having to sit still and wear a mask for 20min.....sometimes he'll fall asleep during it. We go back to Duke on the 23rd for a quick checkup and to get a throat culture to see if we have gotten rid of the pseudomonas and I'm Praying/Hoping that it's gone and stays gone!! He's healthy and happy though so it must be working..he hasn't gotten sick(knock on wood)!!!! Then on the 27th we go back up to Duke to do a PFT which is where they sedate him and put a mask and a vest on him to test his true lung function so that they can better treat him and know how his lungs are doing so far. Hopefully that comes back great..I'm really nervous about that. And like the first week of May we go BACK up to Duke for his normal checkup. We are going to be very busy!! I love my baby and will do anything/everything possible to keep him healthy!

We have rented our townhome out and on May 5th we close on our brand new house!! We are soo excited and can't wait to get in and settled. We are currently staying at my parents house right now and having a fun time! I know my Mom is ready to have her house back...we have come in and have our stuff and Ty's toys everywhere...LOL, I'm sure she loves it though.

So things are looking up for us and I Pray/Hope that it continues to stay that way...just have to keep my head held high and have faith in God that everything will be just fine! God Bless!

Ty's First Easter

I haven't written in awhile, alot has been going on. We are currently living w/my parents right now and getting our townhome rented out! We have been looking at houses and we think we might have found one. Going to go look at it again along w/a few others. Sooo excited about buying a house!

Ty's last clinic visit went great, he was 15lbs or so and lungs were still sounding clear. He also exceeded their expectations!! Well a week later we got his cultures back and he cultured a bacteria called pseudomonas. A nasty bacteria that they take seriously! So we had to take Ty up to Duke this past Tuesday so that his Dr. could check him out. We almost had to stay up there for a week to do antibiotics through IV's, but his Dr. said he looked great, lungs sounded clear and he wasn't showing any signs of being sick so they sent us home w/antibiotics that he has to do twice a day for a month. He's on Tobi(inhaled antibiotic) and Cipro(oral antibiotic) both twice a day. He has done great so far with the Tobi..he has to have a mask on which looks like a fishy(LOL) for 20min that has this mist coming out of it with the meds. He's such a trooper though...soo proud of my LiL'Man for doing so great! I'll have to get a pic of him w/his fishy mask on later. I hope and pray that these meds get rid of the pseudomonas and that it stays away and NEVER comes back!!!!!

Also can't wait for Ty's first Easter! We are leaving for the beach tomorrow to stay at my Sister's beach house. Then spending time w/Kelly's family on Sunday! I got Ty a little wagon with stuff in it for Easter..can't wait! :) Well that's the update for now..hope everyone has a Happy/Safe Easter!!

This past Monday Ty had a appt. at Duke for his checkup and everything went great! He was 15lbs 4oz and alittle over 25in! He's getting to be such a big boy! They were happy with his weight gain and progress and said his lungs still sounded clear yay!!! He was flirting with all the nurses and Dr.'s!! We also got the green light to start all solids(which I have been feeding him for about a month now haha). We currently do not have to add anything to his food to add calories since he's doing great and gaining weight at a goo rate. He exceeded all their expectations...soo proud of my LiL'Man! Then Tuesday he had his 6month checkup with his regular Pediatrician and according to their scale he was 15lbs 8oz. His Pedi. was pleased with his weight and everything. He got his 6month shots..poor baby didn't like it one bit! He got four shots!!! OUCH! I felt soo bad for him. Sooo now we go back to Duke in two months instead of 1month .

Today was soo beautiful..was like 75 degrees out and sunny!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this weather!! :) Ty and I went and looked at a couple of houses, we are currently trying to rent our townhome out again and hopefully it all works out and we can soon buy a house!! Can't wait, I'm sooo excited! We have found one so far that we like, but we're keeping our eye out for others.

6months!

Tyler is 6months and 1week old!! He's getting to be such a big boy!! A few things have happened since I last posted, nothing bad all good...he now has two bottom teeth, he can get on his hands and knees and he figured out how to go foward in his walker! He has accomplished soo much in just a few short weeks! He has also been sleeping pretty well in his new crib. He also got a highchair this weekend b/c he can no longer sit in his bumbo chair b/c he climbed out of it..ughh scared me !! He's okay though thank goodnes!

We go back up to Duke for a checkup on March 15th then he has his 6month checkup w/his Pediatrician the very next day, can't wait to see how much he weighs! I weighed him on our scale at home and he's around 15lbs!! He's been eating solids like a champ too, he loves his sweet potatoes and pears..Yum Yum!! :)
